Realization of Going Nowhere

After I flunked out my first semester of college I returned back to work at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack as a buffet cashier working almost 7 days a week to make a living. I stayed there about another year at the track I pursued a new job opportunity with a company called Sutherland Global Services. This was one of my biggest mistakes, but also a blessing because it brought me back to this college and has slowly started to change my life. As I went through training for my new job, I became very ill and lost my position with the company.

So naturally, I started job hunting. To make a long story short I worked at CVS for a week because the store manager at the time there was a horrible person and belittled the elderly, and disabled customers and I simply refused to work for a company that condones that. After that and another bought of job hunting I was hired at a rest stop off of I-90 eastbound. I worked there for about 5 months before I was worn down from working overnights everyday.  I will admit I didn’t leave on the best of terms, I quit halfway through my shift after I was sure I got another job at a Burger King in town.

It was during this switch of jobs that my best friend graduated from Emporia College in Kansas with his Masters in Music performance. He came home for the summer and we spent a ton of time together. He managed to talk me into re matriculating into college. It took me some hemming and hawing and thinking about how I will pay for my car and insurance but inevitably I caved and returned to college in the Fall of 2016.
